This quarter-mile track, used by the school and park visitors, has an all-weather surface coating. Discus and shot put circles are situated just outside the fence, along the south side of the field. Improvements include  lights to enable events to continue after dark, bleachers for better visibility by spectators, and additional parking with spaces for handicapped as well as patrons aged 65 and over.
When not in use for school events, the track is available as an additional walking path. No dogs, bicycles, skateboards, or inline skates are permitted on or inside the track area. Complete guidelines are posted next to entrance gates on the north and east sides of the surrounding fence.
